SSC Tech Entry🎖️

The SSC Tech Entry is a direct entry scheme for candidates who wish to join the Indian Army as technical officers under the Short Service Commission (SSC). This entry is specifically for eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria

Here’s eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the SSC tech Entry:

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Candidates must be unmarried male or female Engineering graduates.
Age: The age limit for candidates typically ranges from 20 to 27 years, depending on the specific notification.
Candidates should have passed or be in their final year of an Engineering degree in specific streams listed in the notification.

Selection Process

Shortlisting of candidates is based on their engineering discipline and aggregate marks scored in their engineering degree.
Shortlisted candidates receive a call letter for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
The SSB interview is a five-day evaluation process. It assesses a candidate’s personality, intelligence, and psychological suitability, which includes various tests such as WAT, TAT, SRT, PPDT, GTO tasks, group discussions, personal interviews, and psychological evaluations.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a medical examination conducted by a board of Service Medical Officers (SMOs).
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.

Training

Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.
On successful completion, candidates will be granted a Short Service Commission as a Lieutenant.
Candidates can be considered for a Permanent Commission.
