10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME🎖️

The 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme is a direct entry scheme by the Indian Navy that allows students who have completed their 10+2 education with a background in Science (PCM) to join the Navy as officers. The scheme is primarily aimed at those pursuing a B.Tech (Engineering) degree. It provides a direct entry into the Indian Navy’s Executive and Technical branches after completing the training.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Typically 16½ to 19 years at the time of applying.

Educational Qualification:

10+2 (PCM): Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in the 12th standard, and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or XII).

JEE (Main) Requirement: JEE (Main) rank has been made compulsory for the 10+2 (B.Tech) entry, as stated in the document and your text. Selection Process

  • Shortlisting based on the marks obtained in 10+2 and the B.Tech examination.

  • Candidates who pass the written exam will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.

  • The SSB interview is a five-day evaluation process. It assesses a candidate’s personality, intelligence, and psychological suitability, which includes various tests such as WAT, TAT, SRT, PPDT, GTO tasks, group discussions, personal interviews, and psychological evaluations.

  • Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a medical examination.

  • Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.

Training

  • Four-year B.Tech Course: Selected candidates will undergo training for 4 years in various engineering disciplines such as Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Navy requirements​. The B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
