INET Entry Scheme - Indian Navy🎖️
The INET Entry Scheme (Indian Navy Entrance Test) is a recruitment process through which candidates can join the Indian Navy as officers for either a Permanent Commission (PC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Executive, Technical, and Education branches.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India
Age Limit: Varies based on the specific entry and branch, but typically ranges between 19 to 24 years for different officer positions.
Educational Qualification:
For Executive Branch (General Service, Naval Architecture, Logistics, and other specialized fields): Graduation degree from a recognized university (with specific marks criteria).
For Technical Branch (Engineering and Electrical): B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant engineering disciplines (such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, etc.).
For Education Branch: Postgraduate or equivalent qualification in relevant subjects.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical and medical standards as prescribed by the Indian Navy, which include height, weight, and visual standards.
Selection Process
IHQ of MoD (N) reserves the right to shortlist candidates strictly on the basis of INET rank cum preference & choice. However candidates are required to qualify in all sections of INET Exam to be considered for shortlisting to appear in SSB interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
The SSB interview is a five-day evaluation process. It assesses a candidate’s personality, intelligence, and psychological suitability, which includes various tests such as WAT, TAT, SRT, PPDT, GTO tasks, group discussions, personal interviews, and psychological evaluations.
Merit list will be based on combined marks of INET (50% weightage) & SSB (50% weightage).
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.
