NDA Entry🎖️
NDA (The National Defence Academy) entry is available for aspirant who want to join the Armed Forces after successful completion of 10+2. The NDA is a tri-service academy that trains cadets for the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force before they proceed to their respective service academies.
Eligibility Criteria
Here’s eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the NDA Entry:
Nationality: Indian Citizen / Subject of Nepal / Person of Indian Origin.
Age Limit: 16.5 to 19.5 years (as per notification).
Marital Status: Unmarried male & female candidates are eligible.
Educational Qualification for Indian Army: 12th pass from any stream.
Educational Qualification for Indian Navy & Air Force: 12th pass with Physics & Mathematics.
Physical Standards: Must meet medical and fitness standards set by the Armed Forces.
Selection Process
NDA Written Examination (UPSC Conducted): Candidates must clear the NDA written exam conducted by UPSC. The exam consists of Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (GAT) (600 marks).
SSB Interview (5-Day Process): Selected candidates from the written exam proceed to the SSB Interview round. The interview includes OIR Test, PPDT, Psychological Tests, Group Tasks, and Personal Interview.
Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify for the SSB interview undergo a medical examination at designated Military Hospitals.
Final Merit List & Academy Allotment: The final merit list is prepared based on the Written Exam (900 marks) and the SSB Interview (900 marks). Selected candidates join NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune, for further training.
Training
Training Duration: Cadets undergo 3 years of training at NDA, Pune, after which they proceed to their respective service academies for specialized training.
Service Academy Training: 1 year at IMA, Dehradun (for Army), 1 year at INA, Ezhimala (for Navy), and 1.5 years at AFA, Dundigal (for Air Force).
Commissioning: After completing training, cadets are commissioned as Lieutenants (Army), Sub Lieutenants (Navy), or Flying Officers (Air Force).
