SSC JAG Entry – Judge Advocate General🎖️
The SSC JAG Entry is a direct entry scheme for law graduates who want to join the Army as Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officers. These officers serve as legal advisors and are responsible for handling legal matters within the Army. Lawyers who wish to serve in the Indian Army can join the JAG Branch.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: For men and women: 21 to 27 years as of the commencement of the course. The age is calculated based on the candidate’s date of birth.
Educational Qualification: LLB Degree (three years after graduation or five years after 12th) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. Candidates must have appeared for the CLAT PG Exam and the result should be verified at the Selection Centre before the SSB interview.
Marital Status: The candidate must be unmarried (both men and women).
Selection Process
Shortlisting of candidates is based on their academic performance and CLAT PG Exam score.
Shortlisted candidates receive a call letter for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
The SSB interview is a five-day evaluation process. It assesses a candidate’s personality, intelligence, and psychological suitability, which includes various tests such as WAT, TAT, SRT, PPDT, GTO tasks, group discussions, personal interviews, and psychological evaluations.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a medical examination.
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.
Training
Training Academy: The training is conducted at the ACC Wing of the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
Duration of Training: The total training duration is 4 years: 3 years at the ACC Wing and 1 year at the IMA for further training and commissioning.
